The London Mets and London Capitals will compete in the three-match BBF National Baseball League final series at Farnham Park next weekend (August 26 and 27) to decide the 2023 champions.
Both teams won their semi-finals at the weekend. The Mets shut out the Sheffield Bruins 11-0 while the Capitals overcame the Essex Arrows 7-5 in the game held at Farnham Park the National Baseball and Softball Centre.
The final is a rematch of the 2022 single game winner takes all final which the Mets won 9-4.
This year the championship will return to a best-of-three format with Game One starting at 12 noon on Saturday, August 26.
The other two games are scheduled for the next day with the first game starting at 11.30 with the second starting at 3.00 pm if needed.
“Fans of the sport can expect high-quality baseball at the NBL finals featuring the top players in the domestic game,” said Chris Carter, BBF Senior Leagues Commissioner. “The return to a three-match series will provide extra excitement for fans and pressure for both teams as they attempt to become the 2023 national champions.”
Spectators are welcome and entrance and parking are free. All three games can also be viewed on BSUK-TV.
